The popular Fort Lowell Chess Club will be back as usual on September 2nd (ATTENTION! DATE CHANGE)!.It is a club for everyone: people who already belong to a chess club at school and have a coach and those without any coach or a club. It will consist of 5 GROUPS NOW!:

Tuesdays at 3:30 for an hour for all beginners. It is specifically opened on that day and time to help those beginners who cannot attend school clubs to have a place where they can learn and practice chess.

Other groups: Tuesdays and Thursday 5-6PM  (tournament group), Thursday 6-7PM (Advanced Tournament Group) and Sunday 1-2PM (Super Advanced). It is a club that in past several years produced dozen of State champions in Team and Individual formats.

Each class with close at 10 students, sometimes at 12 max. The instructor is once again IM Levon Altounian, the AZ reigning Champion. He will be on occasion helped by other professional chess coaches, in particular by IM Alex Duilger.
