This event is co-sponsored by the CONNECTICUT STATE CHESS ASSOCIATION.

This is a CSCA QUALIFIER for the Denker, Barber, and Rockefeller Tournaments of Champions and the National Girls Tournament of Champions (NGToC).

PLEASE NOTE: K-1 and Primary students who wish to qualify for the Rockefeller Tournament of Elementary Champions MUST PLAY in the Elementary section. Girls who wish to quaifty for NGToC MUST PLAY in the High School section.

Entry fee includes one year membership in CSCA.

On-Site Entry Fee: $55. On-site registrants: Plan to be in line 30 minutes before your section starts. 

ALL PARTICIPANTS: Please note the starting time for your section. Please arrive early and check the Advanced Entry List to confirm registration. As this event is a qualifier for National Tournaments, THERE ARE NO HALF-POINT BYES AVAILABLE. Zero point byes may be claimed for any round.

PRIZES: Trophies to all players scoring 3 points or more in each section. K-1: Medals to all non-trophy winners in K-1. Additional trophies: Top unrated in all sections. Top Kindergartner (or pre-K) in K-1. Top two Under 400 in Primary, Top two Under 700 in Elementary. Teams: Trophies to top 3 school teams in each section. You do not have to be from Greenwich to win one of these prizes.

Greenwich Championship: In addition to the above prizes, the top player from each grade (K,1,2,3,4,5,MS,HS) playing within the appropriate grade sections who resides in or attends school in Greenwich will receive a plaque as Greenwich City Scholastic Champion. The top Greenwich K-3 and 4-up school teams (sum of team scores across the related sections) will also receive plaques.

Refunds/Cancellation Policy: If you can not play in an event you have registered for, you may withdraw and claim a credit for a future event. Credits will not be carried over to the next school year; refunds will be available at a $10 fee if requested by the day of the last scheduled tournament of the season.
