2020 Online Summer Chess Program:

Our daily program features a balance of formal chess instruction and friendly competition. Our pro NSCF teaching staff is led by FIDE Master Sunil Weeramantry, along with National Master Ricardo Perez and FIDE Master Ramon Lorente.

Classes are 2 hours each day (10 am to 12 noon). Classes have a maximum of 14 students per instructor

Groups are divided based on grade and ability level, which is determined both by USCF rating, if applicable, and prior chess education. In the form, please let us know the most recent chess class taken. Please briefly indicate if this was in after-school (include school name), online or other instruction. If not with the NSCF, please also include who taught the program.

For older students, additional homework may also be assigned. For our beginning/novice players (Grades K-3 only), approximately 40% of the time is allocated to lessons with the remainder being supervised chess play and fun group activitiesFor both groups, there will be a tournament on Fridays

Refunds/Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations will be accepted up until noon on Friday in the week PRIOR to the start of your child's camp. Refunds are subject to a $25 administrative fee.
