Novice (unrated) sections. No clocks. Notation not required.
Byes: Half (1/2) point bye requests (1 maximum) are available for round 1 only.

Notes/Terms:

REVISED: There are currently NO COVID PROTOCOLS in place for players. However, masking is recommended inside the building. Adults or other accompanying persons are being asked to show VAX card or Cleared4 pass. 

Registration closes on Friday, September 30 at 5:00 pm. There is NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION  for this event.

By registering online, you will not need to check in at the registration desk. Upon your arrival, verify that you are on the posted pre-tournament pairing list. Please bring a copy of your confirmation email in the event there is an error.

**USCF-rated, except where noted. Bring clocks and score pads. (Unrated sections do not require clocks; notation is recommended but not required.) Chess sets are provided for all sections except Future Masters.

Ratings: All sections use published rating unless parent emails hunterchess@gmail.com and/or puts a note in registration page requesting Current Rating be used.

Prizes: Trophies to all players scoring 3 points or more in 4 round sections.

Changes: If you need to change sections, or for any other assistance, email hunterchess@gmail.com.

Refunds/Cancellation Policy: If you cannot play in this event, you may withdraw by email no later than 8 am on October 2. Please email us at hunterchess@gmail.com. Refunds must be requested by email; no telephone withdrawals or refund requests. There will be no refunds given for No-Shows. Refunds are subject to a $10 fee which covers administrative and credit card processing charges or you may apply the entire entry fee to a future event.

Supervision & Photo Release Policy: All participants under 16 must have an adult supervisor during the tournament. The NSCF and/or Hunter Chess does not provide supervision between games. Also note: Photography and/or video recording occurs at most NSCF and/or Hunter tournament events. By registering your child for this event, you hereby give permission for your child's name and/or picture to appear on the NSCF and/or Hunter Chess website/promotion. If for any reason this is not acceptable, please advise tournament staff PRIOR to the first round of the tournament.
