Prizes: Trophies to Top 5 and Top pK-2, 3-5, 6-8 not otherwise placing in Open and Top 3 in Reserve; Medals to non-placing players; Team Trophies to Top 3 in Open and Top in Reserve (teams by school or established club); Names of Top player and Top player under 1200 in Open engraved on Musicant and Yazgoor Cups, respectively.

Entry Fee: $35 by May 31; $50 by 12 PM on June 2. Online registration, ONLY.

CSCA Member Organization & Premium Member DISCOUNT: CSCA Member Organizations and Premium Members will receive instructions to apply $10 membership discount to their entries. [1] COVID-19 Protocols Apply. All applicable Norwalk Library COVID-19 Protocols apply. 

[2] Rating Supplement. June 2023 USCF Rating Suppl. used for section entry, pairings and prizes.

[3] Day of event. Chess sets will be provided. If you have a chess clock, please bring it with you. Organizer will have some additional clocks but may not have enough for everyone.

We plan on taking a short lunch break during the event after Round 2. Otherwise, Rounds will be paired as soon as all play in the prior round is complete. Approximate schedule by round is 10:30a, 11:45a, LUNCH, 1:00p, 2:10p. Award ceremony expected by 3:30p. 

ALL PLAYERS PLAY 4 GAMES. This is not an elimination tournament.

ALL PARTICIPANTS: The library opens at 10 AM. Library cafĂ© is open until 2 PM. Please arrive on time and check the Advanced Entry List to confirm your registration information.

[5] Refunds/Cancellation Policy: To withdraw registration or request a refund, email your request to events.CSCA@gmail.com no later than June 1 at 11:59 PM. Refund requests not received by email or received after the above deadline, will not be honored. Refunds are subject to $15 administrative fee.
