| Notes/Terms: | Wesleyan Chess Club is again opening its doors for Open Club to the Connecticut chess community. Players ages 16 and older are welcome. Basic knowledge of the rules of the game and ability to play independently are required. WCC and CSCA will provide chess sets and some clocks. Participants are welcome to bring their own chess clocks. WCC will organize club play and other activities from meeting to meeting. Free CSCA event membership is included. (No meeting on Nov. 22.) This is a FREE program, provided as part of the Connecticut State Chess Association’s “A Place to Play” Initiative for the Connecticut chess community. The program is co-sponsored by the CSCA and Wesleyan Chess Club. The Club will meet on the Wesleyan University campus in Middletown, Connecticut. The precise location of club meetings will be provided to registered players ahead of the October 11 meeting.
