| Notes/Terms: | Registration: The entry fee is $30 per tournament and
online registration closes at 12pm the day of the tournament. In
addition, onsite registration is available on the day of the
tournament from 10am to 1pm. Both online and onsite registration will close if
we reach our maximum capacity of 80 participants. The first round starts at 1:30pm SHARP. Further
rounds are played immediately after individual sections are finished. Players are split into quads (sections of four people) by rating. At times, plays are split in sections of six (a swiss format) to either accommodate numbers or better group players based off rating. Regardless, all players are guaranteed three rated games. Players rated under 1000 will play in G/30; d5 sections (30
minutes per person with a five second delay per turn), while players rated over
1000 will play in G/45; d5 sections (45 minutes per person with a five second
delay). Ratings: For rated sections, a US Chess membership is required. Prizes: We offer cash prizes for winners of each
section! Section winners win $60, while runners up of only swiss sections win
$15. We provide sets, scoresheets, clocks, and pencils.
