CHESSpirit Spring Open Chess Tournament

Description:
The tournament is open to all ages and skill levels. 4-round, 1-day Swiss in two sections
(Open, U1200). No play-up. Ratings based on March supplement. Unrated players only
play in U1200 section. USCF membership can be purchased via
https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess.
Entry Fees:
It is a free entry event. Cash donation is voluntary and greatly appreciated.
Sections & Schedules:
Two sections: Open (1200+) and U1200; 4/SS, time control: G/30+5 Inc.
Rounds start at 10:30am, 11:45am, 1:30pm, and 2:45pm.
The award ceremony will be held around 4:30pm.
Prize:
Open 1200+: $50-$40-$30, Top U1600 $25, Best Girl $20. U1200: $30-$25-$20, Best
Girl $20. The prize will be in cash, or electronic transactions if necessary.

March 29th 10-10:15am. Registrations after 10:15am may receive a ½ point bye for
round 1.
Byes:
½ point byes (2 max.) are available for all rounds if requested prior to start of round 2.
Equipment:
Please bring your own chess set, board and clock. Limited chess sets, boards and
clocks will be provided for tournament play.
Please arrive by 10:15am for pairings and announcements.
