Format: Teams by school or, if necessary, school district. Players register individually and automatically placed on their school’s team by school name. All play 4 games of rated competition against players from other teams, only. If team exceeds 10% of any section, it may be divided into multiple teams at organizer’s discretion. Team score derived from top four players of team. Short-handed teams permitted. Sections: 4 sections (all USCF- and New England-rated): High School (grades 9 thru 12); Middle School (grades 6 thru 8); Elementary School (grades K thru 5); and Primary School (grades pK thru 3). Rds/TC/Byes: 4 Rounds, Individual Swiss Format with Team Restriction, G/25+10, USCF and New England-rated. One ½ point bye permitted in Round 1 only. Prizes: Team: Trophies to Top 3 schools in each section, except Top 5 in Elementary; Trophies to top four players on each placing team. Medals to non-placers. Connecticut Champions: Top Connecticut team (see note [1]) in each section receives Connecticut Champion trophy/plaque. Entry Fee: Register online: $65 by Mar 18; $75 by Mar 24; $85 by Mar 26; $100 thereafter. Onsite at TD option. Member/sibling/hardship discount available.
