Onsite available. Sec/Rds/TC/Byes: Open, see [2], U1900, U1200, NER; 5 Rds SS, G/30+3; Two ½ point byes for Rds 1-4; USCF- & NE-rated; NER NE-rated only. Discretionary bye after 9 AM. Prizes: Open: $300-$200; $100 to Top U2200, Trophy to CT Champion, see [1]. U1900: $200-$100; $100 to Top U1500. Trophy to Amateur Champion, see [1]. U1200: Trophy Top 3, Top U800, U600, U400, Unrated. NER: Top 3 Trophy. Other states welcome and fully prize eligible, except state titles. Grand Prix: 15 Enhanced USCF Grand Prix Points; 20 Enhanced CSCA Grand Prix Points. Tie break: Tie break on 5-0-0 ties: a) G/10+3 game; if drawn, b) G/3+2 game; if drawn, c) G/5/4+2 game. Seeding, color by USCF tiebreaks. Does not affect money prizes. Entry Fee: Register online: $50 by 5/6, 60 by 5/12; $70 by 5/14; $90 by 5/16, $100 onsite. U1200 $10 less. NER $20 less. Notes: [1] Connecticut player: (a) any player whose state is designated Connecticut (“CT”) with U.S. Chess, or (b) any player who (i) resides, (ii) works or (ii) attends school in the state of Connecticut. [2] Open Section. Players rated under 1900 are not permitted in the Open unless they are older than 18 years and rated over 1700. The organizer in its sole discretion may waive this requirement.
