Notes/Terms: | The
Norwalk Knights instructional library chess program returns for a spring
session as part of the Connecticut State Chess Association's "A Place to
Play" Initiative. The program is sponsored by the Library and the
Connecticut State Chess Association and features as instructor National Master
and former Knight Ian Harris of RedBandit Chess. This is a scholastic program
for players K-12, beginners welcome. Program content will include age and skill
appropriate group lessons on strategy, including chess basics, supervised
practice play and other instructional and fun chess activities. The winter
session of the program will meet once per week on Thursdays, 6-7 PM starting
October 5 and concluding November 30. (There is NO class November 23.) This is a FREE program, provided as part of the Connecticut State Chess Association’s “A Place to Play” Initiative for the
Connecticut chess community. The program is co-sponsored by the CSCA, the
Norwalk Library and Red Bandit Chess.
